I turned my stove off today, before the Maggi got burnt. Now, you might think it's a good thing, but it's not. You see, I like my burnt Maggi. For the past 15 years, ever since I have been cooking my own Maggi, I burn some in the bottom. Not today. Why is it a big deal? Beacuse of the reason. I didn't want to spend the time scraping it when I do the dishes. For the first time in 15 years, my love for burnt Maggi has been outdone by the busyness of my life. It is on this day I realised I had grown up.
It is trivial stuff like this that we have been letting go of, chipping it away bit by bit, until we have sculped ourselves as a rendition of the comfort and busyness of our lives, leaving behind memories and habits.
I vow today to hold on to my childishness, and never let it go dim hovever busy my life becomes.
Update: 17-09-2019 I did burn my Maggi Today!
